A day in the life of an estara Physiotherapist

This month, we shine a spotlight on estara staff member Lucy Clutterbuck, Physiotherapist.

We asked Lucy a few questions to get to know her a bit better.

How long have you worked with estara?

8 months  

Describe your job in 25 words.

Visiting people at home, in the clinic, gym or pool. Every day is different. Anything from rehab exercise to spasticity clinics to equipment trials.   

If your role had a slogan, what would it be?

Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

What are the top 3 things you must get done each day?

  1. Client notes 

  2. Collaborating with my team (OT, nurses, support coordinators, peer support) 

  3. See clients  

What’s something your team does really well together?

Joint sessions and collaborating on client goals.

What’s one thing on your desk you couldn’t live without?

My coffee rewards card!

What’s your favourite workday snack or coffee order?

Oat cappuccino. 

What song best describes your workday rhythm?

High School Musical ‘ We’re all in this together.

What are you listening to at the moment?

I love listening to Podcasts, especially while travelling to client visits. Lately, I’ve been listening to One Minute Remaining, We Mean Well and The Hamish and Andy Podcast. 

What’s the best part of working at estara?

The team I get to work alongside.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

Trail running or bike riding. 

What is your favourite holiday destination?

There’s too many amazing places to choose just one. Anywhere that offers great outdoor adventures!
