As a casual Support Worker with Estara, you’ll work alongside experienced clinicians and support teams, gaining hands‑on allied health and clinical exposure while helping people live more independently at home and in the community.

What you’ll do

As a casual Support Worker, you might:

  • Assist clients with personal care, mobility, transfers and daily living tasks

  • Support access to community, recreation, education and employment activities

  • Work alongside allied health and nursing staff to implement therapy programs and goal‑focused support

  • Help clients use equipment and assistive technology safely and confidently

  • Contribute to a positive, respectful and empowering support environment

You’ll be supported with orientation, on‑the‑job training and clear guidance from experienced team leaders.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are currently studying Developmental Education, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Paramedicine, Exercise Physiology or a related health/allied health degree

  • Are passionate about disability inclusion, rehabilitation and person‑centred care

  • Communicate well, show initiative and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

  • Want to gain practical, resume‑building experience in a specialist clinical and community setting

Requirements

To work with Estara, you must have (or be able to obtain):

  • Working with Children Check

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • First Aid certificate (HLTAID011 or equivalent)

  • Short shifts before or after classes

  • The ability to pick up weekend shifts

  • Extra shifts during university holiday periods

You can pick up as many or as few shifts as suit your study and personal commitments.
